My gold standard for film dialogue is Howard Hawks' His Gal Friday, starring Rosalind Russell & Cary Grant. Every time I watch this film (second in viewings by me right behind Mel Brooks, The Producers, 1968 ) I feel like the operator just strapped me into the roughest and best ride in the amusement park.
