'Genes', that must be where the 7-11 is now. I remember some older guy at Baileys once saying how when Genes ceased being a bar they disassembled the physical bar and installed it at Baileys (it was probably Loftus at the time). -Mad Dog
Yes, Genes bar was moved from corner of 84th to Bailey's present location in early 1950s by the woman who owned Gene's before Jack Loftus bought it. I confirmed that with Jack two months ago. Gene's had a two lane bowling alley in the basement.
