Abbi & Luke, Brooklyn, Living Room

Last night, I went to the Brooklyn Blogfest.

There were terrific photographs, short films and a powerful energy and spirit throughout the event.

I joined a forum co-led by Abbi Crutchfield, a fiery talent and comedian (that's us in the pix, Abbi has a long reach). The group discussed the hows and whys inside their comedy and humor blogs. The best thing about the twenty gathered was the diversity of their blogs. I went away eager to check out their sites, and see what works and what stalls.

Tonight at The Living Room, Abbie & Luke Thayer host comedy. I've seen the show a number of times, and keep going back. It always cheers me up, kind of like the way I feel after a Losers Lounge show at Joe's Pub. There's a room in our brain that joyfully open it's doors for music & performance. Let em' in.
