Here, are two pictures close in setting and subject but 33 years apart. My grandmother holding me in 1954, and Nan holding Alison in 1987. I'm feeling wistful about my family members, who are no longer here and will miss Alison's college graduation this coming Sunday. They loved Alison very much, I see their broad proud smiles when I close my eyes. Mom and Dad are crying, but it's all over joy.
