The Longest Staircase in Brooklyn

Mickey Wyte performing @ Stoops to Nuts @ Cornelia St Cafe
One of my favorite short stories the past few years is "The Longest Staircase in Brooklyn," by Mickey Wyte and it's available for free at Mickey's web site. This tale like most of Mickey's work reanimates a lost NYC world and lights up all your senses, the best kind of reading experience for me.

Mickey's best selling NYC hard boiled-book, "A Fashion to Kill," made me miss my subway stop twice in one week.  One of my top barometers for a good read.

Do you self a favor and check out Mickey's writing and his blog. You will not be disappointed.

Our next "City Stories: Stoops to Nuts," show is Tuesday, June 10th @ 6pm @ Cornelia Street Cafe with our special guest host: Barbara Aliprantis, co-founder of this second Tuesday storytelling series. Barbara's artists: Arif Choudhury, Karen Levy, Thomas Pryor and Angel Yau. Admission: $8 bucks, includes a free drink. A bargain for sure, come on down!
