At The Loser's Lounge tribute to John Lennon on Thursday night at Joe's Pub every artist left a piece of their heart on the stage with their outstanding performance.
Thank you, K.B. Berton for making us welcome in your house. Thank you, Joe McGinty, David Terhune and all the Losers for sending us home with our usual shit eating grins. The Loser's Lounge remains NYC's best live music bang for the buck.
"And We All Shine On" sang John Lennon one February night in 1970 as I listened to the Scott Muni show on WNEW-FM and first heard "Instant Karma." Lennon's voice and spirit circled the front room of my grandmother's railroad apartment. Life was good, John was back.
